Hey Spy, yeah I tried muting the commercials for awhile but I would miss my program. There are way too many commercials. That's another thing that really irritates me. We already PAY for cable. Since we pay for cable, we shouldn't have to be subjected to the advertising. It is annoying.

Seanchai, agreed.

Erica, I'm glad you have things to watch that make you happy. If most people watched TV like that it wouldn't be an issue. Most Americans tend to plant themselves in front of the television or let it drone on in the background for hours a day and it tends to become an unrecognized stressor. I haven't become like a television nun or anything, but I'm definitely being more mindful about it. :P

Hi Zoe:
Well . . . over on my blog a few days ago, I said I found out I have the SCIENCE CHANNEL! I am in heaven. I tend to watch maybe three or four hours of TV a week, and most of it is documentary. My one not-so-guilty please is The Vicar of Dibley on BBC. I adore Dawn French . . . and would watch her read the phone book. And the show literally MAKES ME HAPPY. I have never watched a program that so lifted my spirits every time I watched it and made me laugh out loud so much.

Back atcha sister! I don't watch much TV either for the same reasons. Why should we ruin our days soaking up all that negativity about things that we can't change or control?

I hardly every watch TV. Maybe a couple hours a week. I do have a weakness for the movie theater, though.

I never watch commercials. I record and fast forward through them. I hate the things.
