Wow! It’s up now? Congratulations, Zoe! Will I be the first to pick it up?
November 25, 2008 at 12:52 am
Hehe nope! Other peeps already have it.
November 25, 2008 at 4:22 am
Woo hoo! Now I know what’s coming up next on my reading!
November 25, 2008 at 10:28 am
You totes need to write up official-sounding press releases for your books. I’m trying to do a shameless plug and my brain’s totally not awake and if i’m lucky it’ll not turn out to be “oog. free book. go read or thag smash.”
November 25, 2008 at 11:07 am
Aaaahahah!!! I’ve been waiting for this day!
Congratulations, Zoe!
November 25, 2008 at 11:50 am
Thanks, Rae!
November 25, 2008 at 11:50 am
hahaha Lindsay, thanks, you rock!
November 25, 2008 at 11:51 am
Thanks, Cindy!
I hope you like it
November 25, 2008 at 2:08 pm
I have to get my daughter’s permission to read it.
November 25, 2008 at 2:11 pm
hahaha why do you have to get your daughter’s permission to read it?
November 25, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I can forge you a permission slip if you need it.
November 25, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Congrats and I’ll post a review as soon as I get it read!
November 25, 2008 at 3:26 pm

November 25, 2008 at 7:42 pm
I got my copy, girlfriend, and I can’t wait to read it. Yay!!
November 25, 2008 at 7:43 pm
Zoe, do you sell it in book form, yet?
November 25, 2008 at 8:41 pm
Yay Marcia!
November 25, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Hehe Robin, nope. I’ve got two more novellas in this particular series, and they’ll all three be grouped into a print release coming out sometime next year.
November 26, 2008 at 12:01 am
the reason I have to get my daughter’s permission to read it is if it’s as hot as I think it is, I could have a heart attack!
November 26, 2008 at 12:17 am
hehe, it’s not erotica, so it’s not as hot as “A Safer Life” and you handled that fine.
November 26, 2008 at 10:22 am
Actually, I burst into flames while reading “A Safer Life.” The burns were not extensive, but I’ve had to shave my head bald to get rid of the burnt hair stubble.
November 26, 2008 at 11:59 am
hahaha, that’s okay, Bald is a hairstyle now.
November 26, 2008 at 7:23 pm
Bless you, Zoe.
November 26, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Ferrel, You want to know something REALLY funny?
I just sneezed RIGHT before I opened the email that said: “Bless you, Zoe” bwahahahahahaha.
Freaky, man.

You didn’t bloody tell me Kept was FREE. I would have pimped it on my blog. Now you have to hope I remember (blog closed due to Turkey Day, and the day before suspended due to Mumbai terror).
November 28, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Hey Mike, I’ve announced on my blog for months that my FREE ebook was coming out soon haha! I was fairly certain everybody knew it was free.

One of the things I’m going to do once life settles down is explore e-books and look into some type of e reader.
Also I wanted to stop in and say thanks for all you have done for me and my family. It has meant a lot to us to know we have so many friends throughout the world.

Hey Travis! I hope you guys are doing okay. And I haven’t even donated yet, I suck and things have been busy. But this week it’s on the list.

Hi Zoe, Found your blog and I hope to look at Kept soon.
Your experiences with self-publishing your novella inspired me to take a look at Kindle e-books as a potential route but it is effectively closed to anyone outside the USA. (They will only pay by EFT into an American bank account! Haven’t they ever heard of PayPal?) Disappointing when maybe 50% of my regular readers are Americans.
May 26, 2009 at 2:32 am
Hey Graham, that sucks! I wish I knew off the top of my head where you could put your book. Have you tried the Sony store? Amazon may be expanding the Kindle outside the US but for now it is limited. Unfortunately I only know mainly about the outlets and resources to use here in my own country. Where are you at?
May 26, 2009 at 5:15 am
Australia!
Not exactly a high-tech hotspot. I went looking for an e-book reader in the tech shops a few weeks ago and nobody stocked them. I only found one sales assistant who even knew what one was!
I’ll try Sony. I know their e-book readers sell very well in the UK – and I already have a bank account there.
May 26, 2009 at 6:26 am
Cool! You know, as horrible as this is, I never stopped to consider how lucky I am location-wise for being indie right now. There are so many opportunities and sales outlets we just take for granted here that aren’t yet open in other places.

Just wanted to say that I somehow (don’t know how) found your site the other night and downloaded KEPT. Sat down earlier tonight and thought I’d start reading, just for a few minutes, before going to bed.
It’s now almost 3am – because I was NOT going to bed until I finished it.
I loved it… was this the first in a series of 3? Or did I miss the other two somehow?
June 15, 2009 at 11:42 am
Hi Kay, I’m glad you liked KEPT.
And yes, it’s the first in a series of three. The full novella trilogy (including KEPT) will be released in several e-formats as well as print, late this fall. Hopefully around Halloween.
